My photography follows my interests in life and greatly reflects the things I do and love. Recently I decided to give kayaking a try and really have found myself enjoying being out on the water. There is so much to explore and exploration is one thing I love to do. I have found many new photographic inspirations while sitting in my little yellow boat, so many new angles on old subjects. The more I think about photography, the more I realize that it is not just something I do, but it is an extension of everything I do. I use it to tell my story, it follows me every where and just nestles into my every day life.

I took this shot last evening while paddling around the reservoir at Francis E Walter Dam. The clouds had just moved in and provided a dramatic look and some soft lighting. As I paddled along, I drifted nearby a group of rocks sticking out of the water like icebergs. Of course, being curious I paddled in between them, and that is when I noticed how well they framed the induction tower of the dam.
