Originally, Mesa Verde National Park had not been on my list of places to visit while I was exploring the American Southwest for ten days, but after a few minor changes in my trip, I found myself Camping there for a night and spending nearly a day and a half exploring the sites of the ancient Pueblo people. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at how uncrowded the park was, and that I could take an up close and personal tour of the Anasazi Cliff Palace for three bucks, I can’t even get a good cup of chai that cheaply. The tour was pretty incredible, and lasted about an hour. An NPS ranger took the group of us down to the ruin where he told us a great deal about what is known about the Anasazis that once inhabited this place. Getting to experience a place that was originally constructed around 1190 AD. I love history, and getting to see this place was incredible. If you get a chance, I urge you to visit Mesa Verde.
