JACKSON HOLE, Wyoming — The Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City has come to an end.  For a first timer, it was a little overwhelming and in many ways a blur.  Patrick and I actually had a “light”schedule compared to some we know (Jason, Josh, etc. – you know who you are).

Nonetheless, we both had a great time and we met with innumerable gear companies, all of whom presented us with a deluge of information about the best and the latest the outdoor gear industry had to offer.  So much gear to be tested in the field, many reviews to be written.  Stay tuned to CampTheSummit.com in the coming weeks for much more to come.

In other news, Team CampTheSummit has grown from two to four as Patrick and I have been joined by David Weaver and Maraya Morgan.  Presently, we are staying at the American Alpine Club Climber’s Ranch at about 6600′ in the Grand Teton National Park.  (Thanks Robert Hyman and Casey)

We hit the Lupine Trailhead tomorrow at about 9:00 AM Mountain Time.  We have secured back country permits for a Monday night stay at the Platforms at about 9000 feet.  Weather and crowd permitting, we expect to summit the Grand sometime Tuesday morning.  Probably will run the “Owens-Spalding Route – not supposed to be as crowded, and more direct than Exum.

Anyway, pictures will be sure to follow, and most importantly, you can follow us along the route by going to www.locate.CampTheSummit.com

That is all.
