Daily Photo: Sundown Over Ventura
I had just arrived in Ventura Beach California to visit friends Eileen and Kelly and It was a beautiful summer evening. We quickly decided to go for a bike ride and take our cameras. This wasn’t much of a problem considering my camera is somewhat an extension of my body anyways. We had rode down the bike path, stopping on occasion to take in an interesting sight or just enjoy the summer evening. By the time the sunset was really beging to become brilliant, we had reached what was the Ventura River delta if I recall correctly. The sun was beautifully setting over the Northwestern horizon, casting beautiful colors and silhouettes across the landscape. We captured the beauty with our cameras and and begun the return ride. I will never forget that return bike trip, It was getting dark, and none of us had lights. Kelly was speeding ahead of Eileen and I, suddenly I see him ride right into a low bush and crash, in perhaps the most epic bike crash fashion I have ever seen. After we realized he was ok, we all had a good laugh at his expense.
