A follower of this blog asked me if I could put together a primer on how to shoot the night sky and capture the stars as we see them. I will be working on that today and hopefully sharing it with everyone this week, so stay tuned for that!

My Alien And I

I had just finished up a nice long mountain bike ride along the trails of Moon Lake Park in Luzerne County, PA. The sun was just beginning to get where I wanted it for some evening photography over the lake. While I was waiting for the sun to set, I noticed a long and alien-like shadow that I and my tripod were casting on to the surrounding landscape. I thought “How interesting!” and immediately began to capture the figure from different angles and positions. It is incredible what interesting things you will see if you focus on observing the world around you.
