Often overshadowed by the more well-known Yellowstone National Park to the north, Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park offer’s some of the West’s most impressive mountain views, hikes and other scenery. Honestly, I personally believe this sleeper hit has just as much, if not more to offer visitors than Yellowstone.
In 2011, A few friends and I made the journey to Grand Teton NP to attempt the summit of it’s namesake, the Grand Teton. This 13,000 foot peak offers a little of everything. Wilderness backpacking, snowfield climbs, rock climbing, skiing. Although timing was not on our side, and we had to turn around 700 feet below the summit due to a traffic jam, We still had an experience we will never forget. We will get back there, I promise you that!
