Látrabjarg felt otherworldly to me, like something out of a fantasy realm of dragons and elves. Steep rocky cliffs climbed out of the ocean, barbed amalgamations of soil and stone abruptly ended thousands of feet off the surface of the water and appeared as if another section of the earth had simply broken off and disappeared. Despite the intensity of the wind, we explored the perimeter of Látrabjarg. The 1300 foot drop into the sea below was dizzying, but spectacular. We took great caution in not getting blow off the edge.
