Climbing mountains in the snow is one those things that I love doing. Even in the northeast, where the mountains are nowhere near as grand as they are in the west, there is a sense of adventure and accomplishment to be had.

This past March, a few friends and I made the trip north to New Hampshire. The snow levels were great, and we had high hopes of skiing Tuckermans Ravine on Mount Washington. The weather held out for us and provided us a great day on the mountain, but the side of the ravine we decided to ski was a little bit hard, making edging down the steep chutes difficult.
