“Shit, I’m Gonna Die”
Seemingly stranded on a three by five ledge several hundred feet off the ground, and being pounded by rain, this was the first time in my life I had thought to myself "Shit, I'm gonna die."

There are a lot of different qualities that people look for in a backpack for the outdoors. Some people like all kinds of bells and whistles and some people want the bare minimum. If you are one of those who don't like much more than you need for your adventure, If you are a minimalist by nature, then perhaps the Blaze A.C. 60 by Granite Gear is something for you to consider.
I want to wish everyone a great and happy Thanksgiving, and also to share this little piece of holiday cheer with you. Enjoy, and don't eat too much.
To me, one of the most fascinating mountains in the world is Rainier. Stretching 14,410 above the Pacific, Rainier is a icon of the Pacific Northwest. It's volcanic legacy provides proof that our world is continually changing. It is a life goal for some, and a training ground for others. I craved Rainier for many years, and subsequently attained it's coveted Columbia Crest in August of this year. I have provided a few of my favorite shots from this beauty of a mountain. Enjoy!
When I think big wall climbing, my mind immediately jumps to Yosemite Valley, but this is not the case. The Qualido Wall, situated in the alps offers some challenging granite multi-pitch climbing. Just last week, The North Face athlete James Pearson put up "Joy Division." Here is some amazing footage of this climb.

Klara Harden, A cinematographer and photographer with a passion for the outdoors recently put out a fantastic short film documenting her sojourn throughout remote parts of Iceland. Klara made the non spectator sport of backpacking something enjoyable to watch with "Made In Iceland".
This year, I got the wonderful opportunity to climb Mount Rainier in Washington. I chose to climb with the Big City Mountaineers Summit For Someone program. I met a lot of great people, summited a magnificent mountain, and helped some teens out. it was a fantastic experience. Here is a short video encouraging everyone to
After reading what I could, I decided I wanted to climb a Gap classic, a 5.4 called Triumvirate, located on Mt. Tammany. Mt. Tammany is on the New Jersey side of the Delaware River and is one of the two main climbing areas at The Gap. The other is Mt. Minsi on the Pennsylvania side, which I hope to explore on another trip.
I've come to find, in recent years, that there is a lot of good hiking here in the Keystone state. From the relentless sixty mile Loyalsock Trail to the beautiful Falls trail loop at Ricketts Glen there is just so much going for Pennsylvania as far as hiking goes. I thought I knew about all of the great hikes of eastern PA, then I found the Pinchot Trail.
