Though It may not be entirely relevant to travel and adventure photography, It is relevant to inspiration, So I must say how much I enjoy the music of Pink Floyd. Last night I saw Pink Floyd: The Experience here in Northeast PA, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It came complete with the hits, bright lights, and even and inflatable flying pig. If you get the opportunity, I suggest checking it out.
Daily Photo – Sending Independence
Ahh the beautiful sandstone towers of the American West. They are there to be conquered it seems, so this August I did just that. My friend Bill and I decided to scale the magnificent Independence Monument located in Colorado National Monument near Grand Junction, Colorado. The dry summer heat was still a concern, so we decided it was best for us to get an early start. We left Montrose, Colorado at around seven am and made the forty minute drive to the monument to begin our hike. After a great hike and beautiful climb, we arrived at the final pitch, which looked to me some what like the head of a cobra. Bill claimed the lead and brought us safely to the top of the platform in the sky.
