Today is a special “Signs of Adventure” for two reasons. First, it is the last one of 2013, and second, this one comes from Ricketts Glen State Park, right near my home town.
Emalee and I had decided to brave a recent snowstorm, and head to Ricketts Glen to do some winter hiking. She had never worn crampons before, and I was exceptionally excited to experience this first with her. We hiked for about an hour or so, stopping to take photos along the way until we arrived at a fork in the trail. I had been to this fork hundreds of times before, but it seemed extra special this time with the freshly fallen snow, and a lovely hiking Partner.
Signs Of Adventure is a weekly post that comes out on Thursday and features a sign related to adventure from around the world.
