Climbing a mountain is a special experience that I personally enjoy a great deal. Getting to share that experience with someone special makes it even better. So for Valentines Day weekend, I surprised Emalee with her first ever Snowshoeing experience. We made our way north into the High Peaks region of Adirondack Preserve in New York. Our objective was to snowshoe to the top of Algonquin Peak, which happens to be the second highest in the state, and about an eight mile round trip. Perfect for someone’s first forray into mountain travel.
