For a long time, I have been passionate about travel and adventure, but was always limited by the constraints of a normal day job. Considering things like climbing Denali, or setting out on a month long cross country epic were very appealing yet just out of reach. This will all be changing at the end of July. I intend to liberate myself from a traditional career model and forge my own path. I will be celebrating this with a 5 week trip across the country that will include mountain biking, rock climbing, a week at the Outdoor Retailer summer trade show, the climbing of Mount Rainier and much more. along the way I will be documenting this journey via a weekly video series, which I have yet to name. Suggestions are welcome! I have started building an itinerary for this road trip, though I am sure it will change many times. As of this writing I plan to leave my home in Northeast Pennsylvania on July 29th with my friend Bill Urbanski who will be heading with me to the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market event. We will be making our way to Salt Lake City over several days following the 29th which will include stops in Columbus Ohio, St Louis Missouri, And a climbing adventure in Colorado’s Eldorado Canyon.
Crap!.. I get just a single day as lead story on CTS 🙁
Don’t worry, I will be re-promoting the story
Patrick! We will be missing each other, then? I can’t believe it. You’ll be in Utah when we are back east… maybe. Let’s definitely keep in touch about this, eh?
I’ll be west from july 29th to Sept 3rdish. Lets try and coordinate something.
Yeah Squamish! Yeah WA!
Looks like you have an amazing trip planned! Have an awesome time and I’ll be awaiting updates of your adventure. If you drop by the New for a weekend, let me know and we’ll try to meet up and climb.
Laurel! I guess that means I can count you in for Squamish 😉 😉 and Gif, I am going to try and make it to the New soon. lets climb!

Looks like a great trip! Enjoy 🙂 Maybe I’ll run into you at the OR show.
Yeah! If I’m here! haha, I have some plans this summer too, and they happen to overlap with yours quite a bit, place-wise, hopefully they also do time-wise.
