Holiday weekends have always excited me. I love using them as opportunities to get out to the mountains with my friends and explore. On Labor Day weekend last year, A small group of friends and I loaded our cars with camping and hiking gear and set course for Mount Washington in New Hampshire. We wanted to hike to the summit via the Huntington Ravine Trail. This was particularly exciting since none of us ever hiked that route, and it was a bit more technical than the other routes to the summit. About a third of the way up into the ravine we became enveloped in low lying clouds. We stopped for a quick break and Jason hopped up on to this rock to see if he could get a better view into the valley below.
